Nimbus Design Gallery Presents:
Cuba | Architecture of Memory
Featuring Photography by Charles Anselmo
Opening Reception with the Photographer
June 2, 2005 - 6:00PM - 9:00PM
Redwood City, CA - Nimbus Design is proud to announce the opening of a new exhibit in its gallery on Broadway, in Redwood City. The show features the work of renowned Bay Area photographer Charles Anselmo, who has spent four years capturing unique images of Cuba's multicultural vitality amidst a backdrop of architectural decay.
Today's Cuba is infused with evocative images from a very different past. Charles Anselmo's amazing work is the result of his exploration into the political and cultural environment of a country rich with memory and alive with passion. His work is instantly recognizable by its ability to quietly and eloquently articulate the impact of historical events on the day-to-day lives of the people who are most affected by them.
"We are very pleased to present this showing of Charles Anselmo's work in our gallery," said Nimbus Design CEO, James Ratliff. "Our business is highly creative in nature, and showcasing Anselmo's exceptional photographic works in our studio gives us a wonderful opportunity to open our doors to others who appreciate the arts as much as we do."
An opening reception will be held on the evening of June 2, and the show will run through September 30, 2005. Opening night visitors will have a chance to meet Charles Anslemo and to hear about his experiences in Cuba preparing for this exhibit. Regular gallery hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
